Joana Sampaio serves as Managing Director of the New York office and is a partner at Sagewood Corporation.

 She joined Sagewood in 2012, and has amassed nearly a decade of experience primarily overseeing interior renovation projects. 

During her tenure, Joana has strengthened Sagewood’s client-centric focus, and maintains Sagewood’s exceptional quality, care and commitment as the critical elements for the company’s ongoing success.

Prior to joining Sagewood, Joana worked for several large Brazilian companies: Braskem for six years in Auditing and Controllership, and at UNIBANCO for four years.  She holds a Master’s degree in Financial Management, Financial Controllership and Audit at FVG, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Despite Sagewood’s rapid growth over recent years, Joana remains centrally involved in guiding each client’s renovation process, while administering and coordinating both field and office operations.  In New York’s hyper-competitive and immense market of high-end residential general contractors, Joana’s leadership philosophy relies on foundational stability and long-term relationships for positioning the company on a steady pathway of growth.
